The kindergarten classes at DCSW were overtaken by pumpkins the week of October 26. In the weeks prior, students were given a home assignment to read a book, write a report, and decorate a pumpkin like a book character. Students presented their books and pumpkins throughout the week, and some even read their books to their class! The week culminated Thursday with a Character Pumpkin Parade and Fall Pumpkin Walk! Our Wildcats dressed up like book characters and paraded around the school carrying their decorated pumpkin and then visited each Kindergarten class for learning activities, fun, and treats! The students did an awesome job on this project and had a wonderful time at the festivities!
